A camper is dependent on a truck to move it and it kept me stuck in a pretty rough trailer park. All a sailboat needs is a little wind and can take us to beautiful places. I knew transitioning back to a more staionary life would be a challenge. I'm not ready for an apartment or house yet, but it is practical to have a home base to work out of. A sailboat was as close to a committment as I could come.
